Health Insurance Policy

Some insurance companies in the Carolinas include acupuncture as a covered benefit, however, Remedy Healing Arts does not bill insurance directly as most patients do not have covered acupuncture benefits.  Upon request, we will provide a superbill which allows individuals with covered benefits, health savings accounts, etc. to be reimbursed accordingly.  Please contact your insurance company prior to visiting us to inquire what benefits you are entitled to under your plan.

New patient visits typically last 1 to 1 1/2 hours and include an in-depth medical history intake as well as an acupuncture treatment.  Return visits are typically one hour and include a brief update on progress and an acupuncture treatment.  New patients should plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to their first appointment to complete paperwork or print and bring the forms to their appointment.

In the event of cancellation or rescheduling an appointment, clients are asked to provide 24 hour notice prior to any appointment or the full cost of the appointment will be charged. First time failure to provide 24 hour notice, the payment is waived.  We are aware that sometimes emergencies occur.  Should this happen, please contact our staff immediately to avoid a fee.
